| 1 cube butter |
| 1/2 cup flour |
| 2 cans green chilies, diced |
| 2 cups cream or half & half |
| 1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed |
| 1 medium onion, chopped |
| 1 tsp salt |
| 1/2 tsp pepper |
| 1 can chicken broth |
| 2 cups milk |
Saute onion in butter. Add flour and cook for a couple of minutes; do not burn. Add liquids and cook until thick. Add chilies and cheese.
