| 4 14-oz. cans Italian tomatoes w/basil |
| 4 smashed garlic cloves |
| 8-10 basil leaves, quarter cut |
| Italian sausage or ground beef |
Saute garlic cloves in 3 Tblsp olive oil. Add basil (can use dried) and tomatoes and simmer about 1 hour, with lid tipped. Cook sausage (prick it and cook 30 minutes on cookie sheet; cut in 1/2-inch pieces) or ground beef. Add meat to sauce and simmer 1 hour. From the Berenatos.
