2 lb sirloin steak | 2 Tblsp vinegar |
1/4 flour | 1 can stewed tomatoes |
2 tsp dry mustard | 1/4 c picante sauce |
2 tsp celery salt | 1 onion, chopped |
3 Tblsp oil | 1 grated carrot |
3/4 c chopped celery | 3/4 c chopped green pepper |
Cut steak unto serving portions. Puree tomatoes with vinegar. Combine flour and seasonings. Pound seasonings into steak. Brown steak in oil in pan. Combine vegetables, tomato mixture, and picante sauce; set aside. Place meat in crockpot. Pour vegetable mixture over meat. Cook for about 4 hours. Remove meat from pan. Make gravy out of sauce; strain. Serve over mashed potatoes.
