1 1/2 cups flour 6 Tblsp cold butter
1/3 c +1 Tblsp br sugar 1/2 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder 2 Tblsp melted butter
1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 tsp baking soda 3/4 tsp cinnamon

Combine flour, 1 Tblsp brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda; cut in butter. Stir in milk just until blended. Knead a few times and pat into 12-inch square. Brush with melted butter. Combine walnuts, cinnamon, and remaining brown sugar; sprinkle over dough to within 1/2 inch of edge. Roll up, seal, and set aside. For cobbler: Combine 1 cup brown sugar, 2 Tblsp cornstarch, and 3/4 tsp lemon zest. Stir in 1 cup water; add 9 cups sliced peeled peaches (I like apples too) and bring to boil. Cook and stir until thickened. Transfer to greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Cut biscuit dough into twelve 1-inch slices; arrange over fruit filling. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes or until brown.
