1 lb caramels German choc cake mix
1/3 cup evap milk 1/3 cup evap milk
3/4 cup margarine


Melt margarine. Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk over boiling water. Mix together cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and margarine. Divide dough into halves. Press 1/2 into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped nuts over baked portion. Pour melted caramels on top. Spread remaining batter over caramel. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Do not overbake.
