4 eggs | 1 tsp cinnamon |
4 cups cubed bread | 1/2 tsp salt |
4 1/2 cups milk | 1/2 cup raisins |
1 1/2 c brown sugar | 2 tsp vanilla |
French bread works well. Pack bread down a little when measuring. Mix all ingredients together, then place in 9 x 13-inch pan that is in a larger pan of water. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Fluffy Sauce: | |
3 beaten egg yolks | 1/4 tsp rum flavoring |
3/4 c powdered sugar | Dash of salt |
1/2 tsp vanilla | 1 c whipping cream |
Whip whipping cream. In another bowl, beat egg yolks; add other ingredients except cream. Carefully fold in whipped cream. Cover and chill. This is good if you put bread pudding into dessert dish, then sauce, then some kind of berry, and then whipped cream.
