2 cups water 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups raisins 1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 cup shortening 1/2 tsp allspice
1 cup sugar 2 eggs
1 cup flour 1 tsp soda
1 cup juice/raisins 1 tsp cinnamon


Could add nuts. Boil raisins in water for 3 minutes and drain, saving juice. Put shortening in 1 cup of hot juice. When melted, add sugar, eggs, and sifted dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
