Rhubarb/Applesauce Cookies

2 cups sugar | 1 tsp salt |
1 cup shortening | 3 1/2 cups flour |
2 eggs | 2 tsp nutmeg |
2 cups applesauce | 2 tsp cinnamon |
2 tsp soda | 2 cups oatmeal |
2 cups raisins |
Could use rhubarb instead of applesauce. Mix sugar and shortening; add eggs and fruit. Add flour, salt, seasonings, oatmeal, and raisins. Drop by spoonsful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes.
