1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups light Karo syrup


STIR CONSTANTLY. Melt butter; add all other ingredients. Cook on medium low heat for 25-35 minutes or until candy thermometer reads soft ball stage. Also done when it pulls away from sides of pan. When done cooking, add 1 tsp vanilla. Pour into 9 x 13-inch glass (buttered) dish. Cool; cut into squares; wrap in waxed paper.
