15 cups popped popcorn |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1/4 cup light corn syrup |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp soda |
Heat oven to 200 degrees. Place popcorn on pans. Pick out unpopped kernels. Heat brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt over medium heat. Stir occasionally until it bubbles around edges. Continue cooking 5 minutes without stirring; remove from heat. Stir in baking soda until foamy. Pour over popcorn; toss until evenly coated; spread on 2 ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes; cool completely on foil or wax paper.
