2 cups sugar | 4 cubes butter |
1/4 tsp salt | 1 cup chocolate chips |
1/2 cup water | 1 cup chopped pecans |
In heavy pan stir and cook sugar, salt, water, and butter until golden brown. Turn down heat and cook to 280 degrees still stirring constantly. Pour out on buttered slab pouring back and forth to spread out syrup. Cool 10 minutes. Melt chocolate chips and spread on candy. Sprinkle on nuts. Let set overnight; crack into pieces. Option: Pour over whole almonds.
