1 Tblsp yeast | 2 cups warm water |
1/2 cup sugar | 1 tsp salt |
2 eggs, slightly beaten | 7 cups flour |
1/4 cup oil | 1/2 cup butter/margarine |
Mix water and yeast. Add sugar and salt; stir. Add eggs; mix well. Add 3 cups flour and oil. Stir well. Add rest of flour (4 cups). Let rise 3 hours; knead and let rise again. (1-2 hours) Roll out dough 1/4-inch thick. Cut into circles; dip in butter. Stand on end in a Bundt pan or angel cake pan. Let rise another 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
