1 c whole wheat flour | 2 tsp dry yeast |
3 cups white flour | 1 1/4 cups warm water |
1/2 tsp salt | 1 egg |
Mix white flour with yeast. Add water, egg, and salt; mix well. Gradually add whole wheat flour. Knead for about 5 minutes. Form into 10 balls. Roll each ball 1/4-inch thick and 5-6 inches in diameter. Place on baking sheet and let rise 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Gently turn rounds upside down before placing in oven. Bake on bottom rack for 5 minutes. Turn over and bake 5 more minutes.
