Pecan Rolls

2 pkg yeast | 1/2 cup butter |
1/4 cup warm water | 1 tsp salt |
1 cup milk (scalded) | 3 eggs, slightly beaten |
1/4 cup sugar | 4 cups flour |
Soften yeast in warm water. Melt butter in scalded milk. Cool slightly; add salt, eggs, and sugar. Add yeast mixture. Slowly add flour and beat well. Place in bowl in warm place and let rise to double. Stir. Prepare muffin pans; grease around sides. In each place 1 tsp butter, 1 tsp brown sugar, and 2 pecan halves. Spoon dough evenly into muffin pans. Let rise until double. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. (For cinnamon rolls, increase flour to 4 1/2 cups and add only 2 eggs.)
