Best Cinnamon Rolls

1 cup sugar | 1/2 cup +2 Tblsp butter |
1 cup mashed potatoes | 3/4 cup water |
1 tsp salt | 3 Tblsp yeast |
2 beaten eggs | 2 cups scalded milk |
6-8 cups flour |
Mix together and knead lightly. Makes a soft dough. Keep dough in a pan of warm water. Rise, knead, roll out, spread with melted butter, nutmeg, brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped nuts, raisins (if desired). Roll up in roll. Cut with a thread. Put in greased pans. Let rise double. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost or glaze as desired.
