Baked French Toast

French or raisin bread | 3 or 4 bananas |
2 cups milk or cream | 8-oz. pkg cream cheese |
6 eggs, beaten | 2/3 c sugar |
6 Tblsp flour | 4 tsp vanilla |
Place slices of bread, single layered, in bottom of buttered 9 x 13-inch pan. Slice bananas over bread, then top with another single layer of bread. Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and flour until smooth. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla and blend well. Pour over bread. Let stand 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. If refrigerated, bake for 50-55 minutes. If room temperature, bake for 40-45 minutes until set and toasted. Let sit for 5 or 10 minutes before serving with syrup.
